1. Official statement of the reason for an organization’s existence, its basic goals and purpose (Horton et al. 2000).
2. Brief summary, approximately one or two sentences, that sums up the background, purposes, and benefits of the project or organization (based on Welcom Glossary).
• Vision
– Is a clear definition of the result you are trying to achieve.
– Established by Senior management
• Goals
– Explain how the vision will be achieved.
– Established by Operational management
• Principles
– Can be defined as procedures
– Established by Senior/Operational Management
• Values
– Can be defined as standards
– Established by Senior Management
